One of Gainesville Violins's claims to fame is that we are a niche business that adds considerable value to each and every instrument in our workshop. We don't just grab them from a warehouse or a shelf and ship them like a WalMart. We work on them meticulously (see the "Workshop" page on this website). That is why

• they sound so great and are so comfortably playable

• we can give a lifetime warranty

• our customers rave about the quality of our instruments and our dedication to great customer service

All of this takes TIME, EFFORT and EXPERTISE. Therefore we request our customers kindly to please allow us ample time to provide you with an extraordinarily great-sounding instrument produced according to the very best of our ability.

Also, to be fair, we must follow the "First come, first served" principle. Orders are processed and shipped in the order in which they have been received.

Accordingly, please place your order well ahead of the time that you will need it. Please allow up to three weeks, and sometimes even longer, for completion and delivery. (In true emergencies, and for professional players and teachers, we can always make exceptions.) Thanks so much for understanding!

Schedule

General: From time to time we travel to certain locations in order to serve our customers there. We take with us various instruments and accessories. Below is our Schedule. If there is sufficient interest and needs in other locations, a teacher is welcome to invite us to their studio or another suitable venue to meet with customers or potential customers and to show them our instruments. Just contact us by email to make the necessary arrangements. We gladly do the same for orchestras and orchestra directors.

Directions: Gainesville Violins is located adjacent to our house (at the far end) off NW 39th Avenue, at 4240 NW 129th Street.

If you travel westward on NW 39th Avenue, you'll go over I-75. Keep going. On your right-hand side (still on NW 39th Ave, after crossing I-75) you'll see the Best Western Hotel, some small farms, then the road that leads to St Francis High School, thereafter TNT Nurseries, a women's shelter and a closed down convenience store. Just after this store is NW 129th Street. Turn right into NW 129th Street (a small unpaved rural road under a canopy of trees). Gainesville Violins is in the first house on the right side (at the large red doors by the Russian bell-tower on the far side), in the middle of the 7-acres.

From north or south on I-75, take exit 390 onto NW 39th Avenue. Go west and follow the instructions in the previous paragraph.

From Jacksonville, take I-10 West to get onto SR-301 (Baldwin, Starke) and go thru Waldo where you bear right towards Gainesville; in Gainesville turn westward on 39th Avenue. Eventually you'll go over I-75. Keep going. Follow the instructions in the 3rd paragraph above.

From US-441, turn westward on 39th Avenue. Eventually you'll go over I-75. Keep going. Follow the instructions in the 3rd paragraph above.

	Each instrument sold by Gainesville Violins is crafted to Jan's meticulous specifications and completed in his workshop.	Our repair shop will take the time and care to make sure that your instrument serves you well. Whether you are restoring a much loved piece or maintaining the sound and feel that you love, Jan and Anna along with their team of assistants will keep the music in your life sounding the way it should while the beauty of each instrument is also carefully preserved.	We rent out only quality instruments. Prize-winning musicians rent from us! We exceed the Music Educators National Conference (MENC) specifications. Each instrument is expertly fitted up, adjusted and tested in our workshop to make sure that it has the very best sound and playability.
