Paul Blanchard workshop 1899
A fine French antique made in the workshop and under the supervision of Paul Blanchard (1851 - 1912) in 1899. Born in Mirecourt, he apprenticed with Auguste Darte from 1865. He then worked for Vuillaume and Silvestre before settling in Lyon around 1875, where he became official luthier to the Lyon Conservatoire.
This violin boasts incredible power and a haunting dark tone. Setup with De Luxe Aubert bridge and Evah Pirazzi strings.
