Testimonials

Previous owner Jan van Rooyen-
I am SO happy that Paul Tousignant and his sister Adrianna Tousignant are continuing Gainesville Violins: Same expert workshop labor, same customer service, same ethics, same high-class instruments (violins, violas, cellos – including all fractional sizes), same respect for and appreciation of customers and teachers, same professional repairs, same nation-wide acclaimed rental program …and much more. Please support them, folks! They have my complete friendship, support, good wishes, and endorsement.

Lloyd Pierce - 1/20
Great shop for new used and perfect repairs also 👍👌
Trina Anderson - 10/20
Wonderful shop and the owner is most helpful. After playing woodwind instruments most of my life, I followed my husband's lead in learning a new instrument. Renting a cello was a great way to be introduced to strings. I bought a Rosalia from Paul and now look forward to each day of playing.

Bill Anderson - 2/20
Paul replaced the bridge on my double bass. The work was expertly done, and I'm very happy with the improvement in sound and playability. And he is a very patent and pleasant person to deal with

Paul is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and honest. My fiddle sounds better than ever after his modifications.
Paul will explain the various options for repair or a purchase and encourage you to find the solution best suited to your needs and playing style. Never was there any pressure to purchase or speed up the decision regarding a repair or bow purchase. He values customer satisfaction.

They are the nicest Violin shop i came across. They have a good variety of violins. I like their customer service. The store owner is polite, humble and work dilgiently with your needs. Also monthly rental system is good if you are a beginner.

Paul - Thank you for working with our students during Stringmania. Our students enjoyed hearing about instrument care. Thank you for supporting FSYO!

I recently purchased  a viola that had been very poorly retouched with varnish.  I liked the viola very much, yet it needed restoration.
Gainesville Violins had been recommended  for the extensive work  that would need to be accomplished.
I brought  my viola to Paul and I have to say that I am very very happy with the results!!!
Thank you  Paul!!!!

"My wife Sharon and I went by Gainesville Violin yesterday to look into options for a replacement Cello for me. Paul of Paul and Adrianna Tousignant was there to help me. First I want to thank Paul for all the time and patience he took in helping a silly old man that likes to ramble on. Excellent customer service and excellent patience and consideration. He listened carefully to my thoughts on the subject and offered excellent advice. I can highly recommend Paul and Adrianna Tousignant to any of Jan's customers that were/are in any way concerned over how the business will be run now that Jan has moved on to a new opportunity. Thank you Paul, best of luck in your new venture and I hope to see you again soon,"

"Picked up my Cello yesterday. Had some repair work done (closing a couple open seams) and taming an annoying wolf.
The cello sounds better today than it has ever sounded, an excellent repair and setup!
Thank you very much."

"We have a new addition to our musical family. Colin outgrew his 1/2 sized cello and he is now the proud owner of a gorgeous 3/4 sized cello he named Gus. We can't thank Paul Tousignant at Gainesville Violins enough. We highly recommend his services!!!"

Wow! What a pleasant experience!! We thought we were merely going to a violin shop to purchase a violin, but we got much more than we bargained for. We not only got an absolutely beautiful (looking and sounding) at a tremendous value, but the level of service and time spent explaining the different instruments was phenomenal. We came to buy a violin, and we left with an endeared friendship.

Steve Gerling
